Crude Coconut Oil Price in Poland (CIF) - 2022
The average crude coconut oil import price stood at $5,178 per ton in 2022, with a decrease of -13.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a slight shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 an increase of 46%. The import price peaked at $5,997 per ton in 2021, and then shrank in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was India ($12,081 per ton), while the price for the Netherlands ($3,738 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+12.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Crude Coconut Oil Price in Poland (FOB) - 2023
The average crude coconut oil export price stood at $10,149 per ton in June 2023, picking up by 20% against the previous month. Overall, export price indicated a pronounced expansion from June 2022 to June 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +3.1% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on June 2023 figures, crude coconut oil export price increased by +77.0% against February 2023 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in March 2023 an increase of 33% against the previous month. The export price peaked in June 2023.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($35,061 per ton), while the average price for exports to Italy ($3,747 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+13.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Crude Coconut Oil Imports in Poland
After three years of growth, overseas purchases of crude coconut (copra) oil decreased by -22.5% to 307 tons in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a strong expansion from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +8.1% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +26.5% against 2019 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 41%. As a result, imports attained the peak of 396 tons, and then shrank sharply in the following year.
In value terms, crude coconut oil imports shrank remarkably to $1.6M in 2022. Overall, total imports indicated resilient growth from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +6.0% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 45%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $2.4M, and then reduced rapidly in the following year.

In 2022, shipments abroad of crude coconut (copra) oil decreased by -21.3% to 210 tons, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a significant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by 146% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 297 tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, crude coconut oil exports shrank markedly to $1.4M in 2022. Overall, exports, however, saw a resilient expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by 127%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $2.1M. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
