Cyclic Hydrocarbons Price in Bangladesh (CIF) - 2022
The average cyclic hydrocarbons import price stood at $1,080 per ton in 2022, falling by -10.9% against the previous year. In general, the import price saw a pronounced slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average import price increased by 44%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $1,633 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was South Korea ($1,719 per ton), while the price for Singapore ($838 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by South Korea (+1.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Cyclic Hydrocarbons Price in Bangladesh (FOB) - 2022
The average cyclic hydrocarbons export price stood at $4,797 per ton in 2022, with a decrease of -20.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a prominent expansion. The export price peaked at $6,003 per ton in 2021, and then dropped markedly in the following year.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Poland.
From 2015 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Poland amounted to -20.1% per year.
Cyclic Hydrocarbons Imports in Bangladesh
In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas purchases of cyclic hydrocarbons, when their volume decreased by -22.4% to 14K tons. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 81% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of 18K tons, and then dropped remarkably in the following year.
In value terms, cyclic hydrocarbons imports contracted rapidly to $15M in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a buoyant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 161% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $22M, and then declined significantly in the following year.
