Dried Prune Price in Ireland (CIF) - 2023
The average dried prune import price stood at $5,216 per ton in June 2023, waning by -19.3% against the previous month. Overall, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2022 an increase of 41% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $6,542 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to June 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was the UK ($15,099 per ton), while the price for Spain ($2,054 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkey (+12.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average dried prune export price stood at $7,649 per ton in 2022, with an increase of 104% against the previous year. Overall, the export price showed a prominent expansion. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to Bahrain ($7,836 per ton) and Malta ($7,669 per ton), while the average price for exports to Cyprus ($7,431 per ton) and the UK ($7,669 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+8.3%).
Dried Prune Imports in Ireland
