Liquefied Butanes Price in Russia (FOB) - 2022

The average liquefied butanes export price stood at $670 per ton in January 2022, rising by 3.5% against the previous month. Overall, export price indicated resilient growth from January 2021 to January 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +5.8% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on January 2022 figures, liquefied butanes export price increased by +29.7% against October 2021 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2021 when the average export price increased by 16% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs in January 2022.

Average prices varied somewhat for the major overseas markets. In January 2022, the countries with the highest prices were Hungary ($720 per ton) and Mongolia ($719 per ton), while the average price for exports to Armenia ($519 per ton) and Poland ($598 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From January 2021 to January 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Algeria (+10.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average liquefied butanes import price stood at $1,439 per ton in January 2022, picking up by 48% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price enjoyed strong growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in February 2021 when the average import price increased by 97% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs in January 2022.

As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for South Korea.

From January 2021 to January 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Kazakhstan amounted to +7.6% per month.
