In 2022, the average import price for carboxyimide-function compounds (including saccharin and its salts) and imine-function compoundses amounted to $6,028 per ton, with an increase of 3.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a abrupt shrinkage. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when the average import price increased by 61% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $21,344 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($8,364 per ton), while the price for the UK ($2,612 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+1.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
