In April 2021, the average export price for glass fibres (including glass wool) and articles thereof (eg yarn, woven fabrics) amounted to $1,888 per ton, surging by 8.2% against the previous month. Over the last three months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.9%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In April 2021, the country with the highest price was India ($2,538 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Czech Republic ($1,000 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to April 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ukraine (+8.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was India ($3,129 per ton), while the price for Taiwan (Chinese) ($1,345 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to April 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+11.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
