The average export price for soya beans; other than seed, whether or not brokens stood at $593 per ton in 2022, with an increase of 3.5% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a mild descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average export price increased by 36% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $720 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($682 per ton), while the average price for exports to Romania ($420 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Czech Republic (+1.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

The import price peaked at $821 per ton in July 2023; however, from August 2023 to September 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Canada ($1,050 per ton), while the price for Ukraine ($488 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From October 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Czech Republic (+23.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, exports of soya beans; other than seed, whether or not brokens from Slovakia skyrocketed to 104K tons, surging by 16% on the year before. Over the period under review, total exports indicated significant growth from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +23.5% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +88.3% against 2019 indices.
