Price for Wood; Posts and Beams in Ukraine (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average wood; posts and beams import price amounted to $1,600 per ton, surging by 13% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a slight reduction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when the average import price increased by 27% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $1,903 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the countries with the highest prices were Poland ($1,812 per ton) and Russia ($1,662 per ton), while the price for Austria ($1,433 per ton) and the Czech Republic ($1,501 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Russia (+4.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average wood; posts and beams export price stood at $850 per ton in 2022, approximately equating the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price posted a buoyant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 an increase of 313% against the previous year.
