From 2012 to 2023, average annual rates of growth with regard to coffee extract exports from Indonesia stood at X%. At the same time, Vietnam (X%) and Malaysia (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Vietnam emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in ASEAN, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. By contrast, Thailand (X%) and Singapore (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2023, the share of Vietnam and Indonesia increased by X and X percentage points, respectively.

From 2012 to 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Thailand (X%), while the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the export price figures.

In 2023, supplies from abroad of coffee extracts, essences and concentrates decreased by X% to X tons for the first time since 2020, thus ending a two-year rising trend. In general, imports, however, showed a remarkable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of X%. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2022, and then dropped dramatically in the following year.

In value terms, coffee extract imports shrank to $X in 2023. Total imports indicated a resilient increase from 2012 to 2023: its value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last eleven-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2022, and then reduced in the following year.

Imports by Country

The Philippines (X tons) and Indonesia (X tons) prevails in imports structure, together committing X% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Malaysia (X tons), committing an X% share of total imports. The following importers - Thailand (X tons), Singapore (X tons), Cambodia (X tons) and Myanmar (X tons) - together made up X% of total imports.
