Equatorial Guinea (X cubic meters) was the main destination for rare gases exports from Cameroon, with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by Chad (X cubic meters), with a X% share of total exports.

In 2023, supplies from abroad of rare gases (excluding argon) was finally on the rise to reach X cubic meters after two years of decline. Over the period under review, imports saw significant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X cubic meters in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2023, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, rare gases imports surged to $X in 2023. In general, imports recorded a prominent expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by X%. Imports peaked at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2023, imports failed to regain momentum.

Imports by Country

In 2023, Singapore (X cubic meters) constituted the largest supplier of rare gases to Cameroon, accounting for a X% share of total imports. Moreover, rare gases imports from Singapore exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Belgium (X cubic meters), threefold. France (X cubic meters) ranked third in terms of total imports with a X% share.

From 2012 to 2023, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Singapore totaled X%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Belgium (X% per year) and France (X% per year).

In value terms, Gabon ($X), Singapore ($X) and Belgium ($X) were the largest rare gases suppliers to Cameroon, with a combined X% share of total imports. France, Poland, South Africa and China lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X%.
