Bosnia and Herzegovina (X litres) was the main destination for wine exports from Croatia, with a X% share of total exports. Moreover, wine exports to Bosnia and Herzegovina exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Germany (X litres), threefold. The United States (X litres) ranked third in terms of total exports with a X% share.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by X% against 2020 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of X%. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.
Imports by Country
In 2022, North Macedonia (X litres) constituted the largest wine supplier to Croatia, accounting for a X% share of total imports. Moreover, wine imports from North Macedonia exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Kosovo (X litres), threefold. The third position in this ranking was held by Bosnia and Herzegovina (X litres), with an X% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from North Macedonia totaled X%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Kosovo (X% per year) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (X% per year).
In value terms, France ($X), North Macedonia ($X) and Italy ($X) constituted the largest wine suppliers to Croatia, with a combined X% share of total imports. Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Spain, Slovenia, Serbia and Hungary lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X%.
