The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when exports increased by X%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X units. From 2019 to 2023, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, electrical transformer exports surged to $X in 2023. Total exports indicated modest growth from 2012 to 2023: its value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last eleven years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2023 figures, exports increased by X% against 2020 indices. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

The shipments of the six major exporters of electrical transformers, namely Romania, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Bulgaria and Poland, represented more than two-thirds of total export. Estonia (X units) held a relatively small share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by Bulgaria (with a CAGR of X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Poland ($X) remains the largest electrical transformer supplier in Eastern Europe, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by the Czech Republic ($X), with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by Hungary, with a X% share.

In Poland, electrical transformer exports increased at an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012-2023. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the Czech Republic (X% per year) and Hungary (X% per year).

The export price in Eastern Europe stood at $X per unit in 2023, surging by X% against the previous year. In general, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2023, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($X per unit), while Romania ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Estonia (X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports in Eastern Europe

In 2023, overseas purchases of electrical transformers decreased by X% to X units, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. Total imports indicated a strong increase from 2012 to 2023: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last eleven years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2023 figures, imports decreased by X% against 2021 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by X%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units. From 2022 to 2023, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

It was distantly followed by the Czech Republic (X units), Slovakia (X units), Romania (X units) and Russia (X units), together committing a X% share of total imports.
