In Russia, rolled bitumen articles exports increased at an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012-2023. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Poland (X% per year) and Belarus (X% per year).

Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a mild shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X square meters in 2021; however, from 2022 to 2023, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, rolled bitumen articles imports reduced to $X in 2023. In general, imports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by X%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2021; however, from 2022 to 2023, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Imports by Country

The purchases of the seven major importers of articles of bitumen in rolls, namely the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, Poland and Lithuania, represented more than two-thirds of total import.

From 2012 to 2023, the biggest increases were recorded for Slovakia (with a CAGR of X%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import price indicated modest growth from 2012 to 2023: its price increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last eleven-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2022 when the import price increased by X% against the previous year. Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major importing countries.
