Exports in the EU

In 2022, exports of wine in the European Union dropped modestly to X litres, waning by X% against 2021. In general, exports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of X%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X litres, and then reduced slightly in the following year.

In value terms, wine exports declined modestly to $X in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being observed in certain years. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X, and then contracted modestly in the following year.

Exports by Country

Italy (X litres), Spain (X litres) and France (X litres) represented roughly X% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Germany (X litres) and Portugal (X litres), together mixing up a X% share of total exports. The following exporters - Hungary (X litres) and Latvia (X litres) - each finished at a X% share of total exports.
