The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2023, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Exports by Country
The Czech Republic (X tons), Germany (X tons) and Romania (X tons) were the main destinations of non-alloy steel i-sections exports from Poland, together accounting for X% of total exports. Slovakia, Hungary, Algeria, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Ukraine, Austria, Estonia, Italy and Bulgaria lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X%.
From 2012 to 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Algeria (with a CAGR of X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Poland
In 2023, purchases abroad of i-sections of non-alloy steel decreased by X% to X tons, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. Over the period under review, imports recorded a perceptible slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2023, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, non-alloy steel i-sections imports shrank significantly to $X in 2023. In general, imports showed a mild slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2022 to 2023, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2023, Germany (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of non-alloy steel i-sections to Poland, accounting for a X% share of total imports. Moreover, non-alloy steel i-sections imports from Germany exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Spain (X tons), sevenfold. The third position in this ranking was held by the Czech Republic (X tons), with a X% share.
