In value terms, tea imports declined to $X in 2023. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2022, and then fell in the following year.
Imports by Country
Pakistan prevails in imports structure, finishing at X tons, which was near X% of total imports in 2023. It was distantly followed by India (X tons) and Afghanistan (X tons), together constituting a X% share of total imports. Sri Lanka (X tons) held a minor share of total imports.
Pakistan was also the fastest-growing in terms of the tea imports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2023. At the same time, India (X%) displayed positive paces of growth.
