Imports in CIS

In 2023, supplies from abroad of plant-growth regulators increased by X% to X tons, rising for the fourth consecutive year after two years of decline. Total imports indicated a notable expansion from 2012 to 2023: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last eleven-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2023 figures, imports increased by X% against 2019 indices. In value terms, Russia ($X), Kazakhstan ($X) and Belarus ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2023, with a combined X% share of total imports. Moldova, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X%.

Among the main importing countries, Uzbekistan, with a CAGR of X%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

The import price in the CIS stood at $X per ton in 2023, falling by X% against the previous year. Over the last eleven years, it increased at an average annual rate of X%. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2022 an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per ton, and then declined in the following year.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Moldova ($X per ton), while Russia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
